„Data Feminism“ appeared in 2020. How come its practices are still not established in #DigitalHumanities?
If anything, the interest seems to have somewhat died down 😕

We provide an overview of its principles tailored to #DH. No more excuses!

Read our working paper ⬇️
and put it into practice!

Generic Visuals in the News: The Role of Stock Photos and Simple Data Visualizations in Assembling Publics

@rwg no idea, really. My assumption is that it got too costly to run, but I could be wrong.
Surprised not to find some #FirstMonday lamentations here. Hoping the journal finds a new home or new team, to keep this digital research institution alive.

Early academic works on the #internet, such as those by @hrheingold or Castells, merged visions of digital transformation w/ critical perspectives, influencing both its technological development & conceptual understanding.

Open access publication in the spotlight - 'Revolutionary discourses from the past: a digital hermeneutical analysis of widely read academic publications on the social impact and significance of the internet'

University of Groningen
...Fitting for AoIR's 25th anniversary I think 🥳🙌 The research takes a digital hermeneutical approach moving through different scales of reading and analysis, to uncover intellectual imaginaries of radical optimism yet also criticism. The article and the database of literature are both open-access 🖱️📚🔍
