@tlariv @PeterLG @freediverx @blogdiva I'm thinking Schumer's gonna (quietly) vote for Cuomo rather than his party's nominee. Just saw Cuomo on TV say "MaNdami" four times in less than a minute. I lived in NYC in the 80s & keep recalling the whispering campaign - "Vote for Cuomo not the Homo", thinking like father like son. Meanwhile, David Hogg got drummed out of DNC for supporting a particular Democratic candidate in a Democratic primary.
@HamonWry Mastodon has polls?
@jalefkowit I inherited an old Jeep from my late father. I used to say it kept his memory alive by giving me a lot of trouble
@BramMeehan I got lazy and did not call them. Since then, however, I have noticed twice the station was broadcasting only a hum sound on Sundays. Maybe they don't have an engineer available to work on Sundays? I suppose I should call; keep getting distracted by so many other things...
@megatronicthronbanks @AE4WX Not obvious to me, either. They're foregoing a whole day, at least, of advertising revenue. Even though the song title is "If You Ever Have Forever in Mind", it's going to have to stop some time.
@AE4WX I don't think so. Rural company owns a dozen or so small stations, various formats. There isn't another country station in the area, so I doubt it. I think I'll call them tomorrow.
Anybody out there knowledgeable about #radio #tech ? We have a local station, 99.9 fm KKTC True Country, Angel Fire, NM. They've been playing the same song, over & over, at least since 6am MDT, 10 hours ago. No ads, even. We've been wondering how that happens? Anybody know? #broadcast #localradio
@Nonilex Trump has already meddled with water distribution in California. Colorado water goes to 7 states, some red some blue. Rio Grande, 2 blue plus Texas. Whiskey’s for drinking & water’s for fighting. Easy to find things to worry about these days.
@kunev @w7voa I have a friend who was born at Manzanar. For one example.
@TheDialecticalCommunist There’s a large and growing disaster response industry sector running in part on government contracts. I Also grifting and predatory in too many cases.
