What’s the best way to talk to someone who you perceive to be different to you? #race
1) Don’t assume they are different to you
2) If you must know where they are from, believe them at their first answer
3) Understand that cultural dress is a choice and doesn’t affect your nationality
4) Make conversation about the professional reason they are in that space not the racial/identity reason
5) Don’t touch any part of them without consent and know that it is weird to ask to to in on first meeting
@AndreDarmanin creature of habit unfortunately, plus can’t really connect with this place
A bit niche, but I'm looking for people in the #RettSyndrome #SETD5Syndrome #Autism #LearningDisability #Epilepsy community. Our daughter has all of the above. Would love to meet fellow #ParentCarer #UnpaidCarer folks

Make sure general nerdiness, tabletop roleplay, and other related pursuits are the kind of content you want to see in your timeline.

Our values obviously align, but our interests/hobbies might not. No hard feelings if you unfollow. 😉

@FanciestBrenda abstaining from participating would have shown greater solidarity. I’m certain that has happened in the recent past with a sporting event, why not now I wonder

@AndreDarmanin award night many months ago. Not a regular look! 😂
@AndreDarmanin I get awful withdrawal usually, but I’ve realised as long as I have my morning cup I’m ok 👍🏽

Twitter emboldened people with outrageously bad takes or racist & bigoted views to share them for the rush of a viral tweet. It silenced already marginalized voices through threats & intimidation.

Twitter rewarded narcissism with follows & gave tremendous power to people least deserving of leadership roles or equipped for public service.

It was never the “town square” but often the mob with pitchforks & torches. If #Twitter falls, democracy & humanity will be better off. #TwitterMigration

Almost 180k new users joined #mastodon yesterday, a new record. This third #twitterMigration wave happened after Musk's Twitter 2.0 ultimatum to #Twitter workers. Each wave is stronger than the previous one. Here is my updated plot showing the three consecutive waves.
