📢 ECHOLOT Insights #1 is now available!

The ECHOLOT project marks an important milestone with the release of its first newsletter, coinciding with its six-month anniversary!

Despite its short duration, the project has already made significant progress, with various activities, collaborations, events attended and developments underway. This inaugural edition provides an overview of these achievements and sets the scene for the future.

🤩 ECHOLOT has been presented to the AI Factory Austria AI:AT partners.

Daniel Dobriy, a partner of the ECHOLOT consortium from KM-A, was invited to present our project at the AI Factory during a visit by the @EuroHPC_JU partners. Among the attendees were representatives from the @ACDHCH_OeAW who are also ECHOLOT partners.

ECHOLOT is creating the environment to manage complex cultural heritage and #GLAM data. We are happy that the project has received such interest!

🚀 ECHOLOT at the Oulu Löyly Open culture think & do fest!

From 8 to 10 June, @avoinglam organised the 'Oulu Löyly' event. It brought together open culture advocates, decision-makers, technology experts and creative thinkers.

Jouni Tuominen, from the University of Helsinki, represented ECHOLOT with a roll-up banner and a fair stand.

meemoo, Flemish Institute for Archives digitises and archives Flemish archival material for over 180 organisations, and assist hundreds of heritage organisations with the registration and management of their collections.

🎯 In ECHOLOT, they are coordinating 'Case study 4: Flemish fine art and performing arts collections'. Furthermore, meemoo contributes to the 'Data licensing explained' task.

The University of Helsinki is the oldest and largest institution of academic education in Finland.

🎯 In ECHOLOT, they are involved in the work on semantic interoperability of data and creation of hybrid curation workflows, especially on entity reconciliation, linking, and deduplication.

🚀 ECHOLOT at the the AI-Bridges Symposium.

Last week, members of the ECHOLOT team attended the AI-Bridges Symposium in London.

ECHOLOT project coordinator @lozross joined an expert panel to address the most urgent topics relevant to knowledge organisation on the web and AI applications.

Adrián Cuadrón from @Hitz_zentroa and Marc Maillard from Wikimedia Sverige took part in discussions about the development roadmaps for structured data wiki applications, such as #Wikibase and #Wikidata

💫 ECHOLOT at #DigitalHeritageSummit 2026!

From 25 to 29 May, the Digital Heritage Summit 2026 will bring together world-renowned experts, institutions and industry leaders in Limassol, Cyprus. organised by the @unesco Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage, this year it is a special edition of #EuroMed2026.

ECHOLOT is there, for sure!
