AaskJust finished directing the second annual Cyber Tractor Challenge and wow am I tired! It was so worth it to see all the wonderful students from around North America get hands on with my day-to-day work, and get shown up by what they were able to accomplish in just one week. I'm excited to see what comes next year! Time for some well earned rest before kicking off planning for the next one. Thanks everyone who helped me get here! I couldn't have done it without our @defcon community's support and encouragement!

Caroline Orr BuenoAttacks on the US power grid — a preferred method of attack among extremists, particularly accelerationists — have surged to a decade-high peak this year, with more than 100 attacks reported in the first 8 months of 2022. So that’s not even including the recent spate of attacks in NC, SC, FL, GA, WA, & OR.
These kinds of attacks are seen by extremists as a crucial step towards inciting a race war.
