If your 8bitdo Ultimate 2C stopped charging and is completely dead. Open it carefully (you need a torx t6 and a plastic pry-tool). Remove the battery and charge it with a lipo charger. Mine is a lx-lbes which costs around 1 Euro. After charging up, reconnect the battery and run the update to firmware 1.01 on a PC. Next to Switch2 support, you gain a controller which charges again like every other battery-powered device on the planet.
(These controllers are awesome, but update your firmware!)
