you know, I usually like to joke about the "Windows vs Linux" thing for a variety of reasons, but considering how windows 11 and future versions are shaping up to be (may it be the forced, broken updates, way more increased requeriments, ai, dependency of a microsoft account/cloud for most things...) I feel like it's the biggest chance we could have at making linux grow

... but we also gotta be as welcoming as possible with this, I keep seeing people hate on new users because of things like their browser/software choice or how they don't wanna use the terminal, among others, and it makes me sad to see

sure, firefox and its forks may be better, and the terminal can allow for more things if you dig deep into it, but if they don't wanna use neither of those we shouldn't discourage them from their usual options (may it be chromium/webkit browsers or the gui based alternatives), all you're doing is scare people away from giving linux a try, giving it an elitist vibe whether you planned to or not

linux is already a viable option for gaming, we gotta show that it can be a viable option in everyday usage too

Und: Eltern sollten als gutes Vorbild für ihre Kinder versuchen, auf #whatsapp bestenfalls zu verzichten und lieber #signal zu nutzen. Beides eingebettet in eine überzeugende, verständige Argumentation ohne Fingerzeigen oder Besserwisserei. Topp👍
