I've spent, I don't know, maybe a year, smiling at, then saying hi to or thanks to, an immigrant worker who tends to our housekeeping at the office.

She used to barely look at me. Then she started to smile when she saw me coming.

Today she spoke in response to me rather than just nodding/smiling in return.

Someday, I hope to have her speak to me first.

Her job is important. She is important.

US troops are not in Germany to protect Germany. They’re there because the US needs bases to conduct operations beyond the North American continent. If Trump withdraws them, he will harm the United States, not Germany.

It’s absurd how many Americans fail to grasp this.

There's been some attention to this awful White House photo congratulating the Georgia Women's Tennis team but centering men, with the women barely visible in the back.

Minimizing women is core Trump/MAGA. On Tues, Trump referred to US military deaths from his Iran War "We lost 13 men." Three of them were women.
