Wrote this poem impromptu as a sly post, triggered by an estranged friend's eulogy of Modi, on FB. Brings back loads of nostalgic memories.
That was around the time when I began to lose friends to Modi mania. This guy was among the saddest of the losses.
I used to write poems for myself, rarely published or shared them, he was the only friend I shared them with, he was into regional literature, was a good critic, ironically the only serious reader of my romantic poetry.
