Steve Vernon stepped down as chair.
The new chair is April Allison Culbreath, a former leader of the Manatee Trump Train caravan who attended the Big Lie Stop the Steal protests in Washington DC on January 6th. She has promoted events with disgraced former general Mike Flynn and GOP dirty trickster Roger Stone. She won by three votes.
Culbreath is also apparently employed as a detective in the Manatee Sheriff's office.
