@cstross I can confirm that the Frame.work is easy to assemble. I'm gradually moving to mine. It is just a bit plasticky/klunky feeling and the lid doesn't open as ergonomically as the Macbook. Small price to pay for getting away from the oligarchy.
A friend of mine is celebrating his 70th birthday by streaming a few sets of live music. It's kind of an experiment, as he's organizing a bunch of people to do this that haven't quite done this kind of thing before.
