Just tested out #ChatGPT on a big CSV dataset. Worked surprisingly well. It wouldn't do it all in one go, must be a character limit, but it did in about an hour what would've taken me 10, and most of that was because I was splitting CSV files for it, the actual time it spent on the task was way less. Now to teach it to be location aware, and read some of the scrawled paper maps...

The thing I hate the most (well, maybe not the most, but it's bad) sloppy #CAD #GIS #Topology - use snapping at the very least!

Trying to book some external training in for work, got two providers desperate for us to book with them... Who knew booking a training would be so emotionally taxing!

#GISChat Anyone here use FieldPapers for in field surveys? I'm looking into it, but would love to see some QGIS pipeline, maybe involving exporting FieldPaper atlases from QGIS.. Just spent 4h trying to get their repo to work though, no joy

#GISChat Made a @qgis plugin for work, was working really well, until someone used it on a @shapefile .... Had to write an additional function just to deal with shps.....

So I just opened a project at work, to make a start on the mapping, thought "oh that's a nice map someone has made"... Checked the metadata..

It's not a #Hexagon for #Day14 of the #30DayMapChallenge for me I'm afraid. It's a real life hexahedron though! For those of you not in the #UK #Ecology scene, this is a symbol from the UK's Phase 1 Habitat Survey, the symbol for marshy grassland. It's one of my favourite symbols of the survey. And I made it out of air dry clay and a 3D picture frame ...
