Still sarcastic. Still a bit of a tech nerd. Still politically opinionated. But now, I am freed.

Hats off to @daringfireball for this quote about websites without ad blockers:

“It’s like going to a restaurant, ordering a cheeseburger, and they send a marching band to your table to play trumpets right in your ear and squirt you with a water pistol while trying to sell you towels.”

Nailed it.

@jsnell @glennf @dmoren sounds like an incomparable episode to me!

It's not fair. They keep using tweets like this to make the market jump and wiggle and all of us have to just watch while they get rich off of insider information. Since no one ever gets in trouble for insider trading anymore I just feel like a sucker for being left out.

People who believe in magic sky fairies shouldn’t be in charge of anything, let alone nuclear weapons.

“The old left aphorism has it that "every billionaire is a policy failure." That's true, but it's incomplete. Every billionaire is a machine for producing policy failures at scale.”

From "your OS must enable you to declare your age" to "developers must attempt to verify your age" to "you must declare your age" to "you must prove your age" to "you must verify your identity to go online" in how long?
