This reminds me of a paper of mine about the most extreme correlation matrices of individual (per-person) effect sizes that are mathematically possible: https://psyarxiv.com/ca8z4/

a) All correlations are as large as possible (1-factor model)

b) All correlations are as negative as possible (weird model)

Great paper: "Impossible Hypotheses & Effect-Size Limits"
https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/25152459231197605

1) The correlation matrix of all population effect sizes must be positive definite.

2) Hence, there is a lower/upper limit to each effect size that is possible (even if we study only a subset of effects)

Check out the new preprint of my PhD student @bsiepe about multiverse network modeling for the GIMME method!

Maybe we should have chosen the hidden working title:

Silently changing one's arguments on a website called "Innocence" to defend oneself does not make the arguments more convincing or credible....

Innocent of Data Colada Allegations — Francesca v Harvard

The analysis of Data Colada's accusations against Francesca Gino, discussion of the original data, and the lack of evidence to prove their accusations. In addition, Data Colada violated its own procedures in the process.

New paper on #dishonesty and #cheating now published in the Journal of #Personality, first-authored by Isabel Thielmann:

"Cheating to benefit others? On the relation between Honesty-Humility and prosocial lies"
https://doi.org/10.1111/jopy.12835

We used an adapted logistic regression model to predict who behaves dishonestly even though we cannot know at the person-level who cheated 🙂

Congratulations to @marenmayer 🥳 The 2nd paper of her PhD is now published in the Journal of Mathematical Psychology:

"Cultural consensus theory for two-dimensional location judgments"

Maren developed a Bayesian model for aggregating 2-dimensional judgments which infers:
(a) a group's consensus regarding the unknown locations for a set of targets (e.g., cities)
(b) the expertise of individuals
