I’m developing a crazy theory that cracking the screen on an iPhone has a big, negative impact on battery life. So far anecdotal evidence of myself and my wife point to battery life significantly decreasing if the screen is cracked (either front or back).
My current working theory is that cracked glass can cause the attenuation in the antenna, which causes the phone to increase power to maintain signal strength.
Someone shared this in a meeting and it was the first time I'd seen it. Sharing on here for laughs
