Please scream inside your heart.

@houstonpublicmedia y'all may want to reset your radio - it's looping!
@skrishna ooh that first one can't be good.

Somehow I've always missed the backstory theming of #dinoland at #animalkingdom . I picked up on the "roadside attraction" part of things but not the "dinoland institute" side at all.

Guess it's always just been hot, so go see Chip and Dale in dino costumes and put the kids on the spinner ride and go look for shade somewhere!

But here's a good rundown: https://disneyshawn.blogspot.com/2009/11/welcome-new-interns.html

Welcome New Interns

The story of Dinoland , U.S.A. is told through the relationships between several distinct groups of characters, each with a passion for dino...

Silver-eared Mesia is the other, thanks to a helpful redditor!
@Robynw oh wow that was fast! I didn't think that maybe the image was just a bit pale. That's spot on, thanks!
What birds are these? From an unlabeled set of 50 birds of the world, all the rest of which I've identified, so I assume these are also real. #birdsofmastodon

@peter I think a bit of it is people discovering he wasn't the all-evil-all-the-time cartoon villain they'd been told about. A fellow who teaches a terrorism class says he sees surprise in his students when they learn that. And in our binary thinking, finding out someone bad was right about something can lead to some messed-up conclusions.

Getting people to the level of "he had some legitimate grievances, some bad ones, and took very bad actions and is overall bad" is hard.

@gwynnion I hang with mostly center-right (never voted anything but R before 2016) older ladies in urban Texas, and the discussion today was that they'd mostly be willing to go for Nikki Haley but otherwise they're either going blue or skipping that race.
Hey Americans, feeling politically powerless? You have an election tomorrow. Fascists are targeting those boring state and local positions and using them for everything from abortion restrictions to book bans to criminalizing trans healthcare. It's up to you to stop them.

@possum555 and, in case it somehow didn't come through in that or the entirety of my other posts, I'm not one of those "some Americans" any more than I am one of those who insist that Obama's election proves there is no racism in the US.

Sorry for any confusion.
