Debian Users - Be aware the maintainer of the KeePassXC package for Debian has unilaterally decided to remove ALL features from it. You will need to switch to `keepassxc-full` to maintain capabilities once this lands outside of testing/sid.
🤔I got asked about this yesterday from a neighbor, a teacher in our local school district.
Teacher: "Isn't AI 4 to 5 times faster/better at coding than the best developers?"
Me: "Isn't AI 4 to 5 times faster/better at teaching than the best teachers?”
(shocked/disgusted look on her face)
🤷 And that's one of the problems of AI. It seems better than you at something you know nothing about because you don't quite know well enough to call it out on its bullshit. https://toot.cafe/@baldur/112031199817039932
JFC, people in tech are really out there saying that language models will be better at therapy, financial advice, and career advice than trained people. WTF is wrong with you people? Do you really have no clue about what other people’s jobs actually involve? Language models can’t even do maths how are they supposed to get good at financial advice? And therapy? Just… 😑 What’s wrong with people in tech?

For example, here is the Photo Album widget, which has a subtle button on the edge which expands into an album browser and control panel. Then when you're done browsing minimize it to resume auto-play and just enjoy the photos.

There is a LOT to unpack in this headline, don’t ya think?
Apple, once a leader in Scanning Message Apps for Child Pornographic images, now joins a Group to Protect Encryption over Children - Patently Apple
On August 5, 2021 Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple oddly forewarns child pornographers that their photos on iDevices will be scanned for illegal content starting this fall." Then Apple surprisingly reversed course under pressure. Today Apple and 80 other groups are against the U.K. government forcing tech companies to take responsibility and fight crimes against children.
