@straphanger nice! I like the choice of word as it also translates well (Autonormativité). On translation, I don't personally agree with this one:
"L’expression « Motordom », que l’on pourrait traduire par « royaume de l’automobile »"

Yes, the translation does covey the sense of king-dom ... but I feel the "dom" here is to purely conver Dom-ination... I'd there fore translate it to "Domination de l'automobile". (This is purely academic, I'm not a linguist and both convey domination ;) )
