I can finally reveal some research I've been involved with over the past year or so.

We (@redford, @mrtick and I) have reverse engineered the PLC code of NEWAG Impuls EMUs. These trains were locking up for arbitrary reasons after being serviced at third-party workshops. The manufacturer argued that this was because of malpractice by these workshops, and that they should be serviced by them instead of third parties.

@dcuthbert there's only two of us and we manage a good 5 - 600Gb a month (both work at home and all our tv watching is streamed). It went up when we got fibre - all I can assume is that the various apps are taking advantage of the better bandwidth and upscaling resolution

@marshalla99 @gcluley yeah that's the only thing that seems to make sense to me too. I use booking dot com all the time! I am not sure I wouldn't have been caught by that tbh..
