In fact, there doesn't seem to be a moral to the story at all, especially since the count was showered in immeasurable riches afterwards and even placed the snake on his coat of arms. I feel the story lost some of its nuances but that seems rather typical for old sagas from anywhere.

Anyhow, the grass snake is one of the most famous symbols of the Spreewald plus its a beautiful little critter. 🐍✨

The Snake King.

A few tales were spun about the grass snake in Lusatia. The most famous one being the one of the king's stolen crown.
A count observed the snake king regularly playing with other snakes on a clearing. Before engaging with the other snakes, the king places his crown onto a white cloth in a bright spot.
The count seized such an opportunity, took the crown, rode off, impossible for the snakes to catch up.

Tattoo Design I was asked to draw for a friend.
Her animal of the soul is the elephant and many personal and more obvious aspects are incorporated in the design.

Hope you like it!

Leaning more into that anime/manga style I like. As I was coloring it in I noticed a really cool way to manipulate the gradient tool. Absolutely love this dance of pixels.

With college coming up I expect I won't have as much time to upload.

Interesting food for thought for all the artists out there struggling and thinking that they are not good enough:

Often we think we are not good enough compared to others. We just see our art so often and for such a long time. So of course it is lacking the WOW-factor from something we see for the very first time.

Keep on making art and posting it. While your artwork might look boring to you (because you looked at it for tens of hours creating it) it is new to others and make them go "WOW".
