Well crap... Here I go again! Just got another thing!
Meet the TeleNova Compis computer from 1983!
The Compis (from COMPuter In School) was a Swedish computer made to replace the Luxor ABC80 and ABC800 computers from 1980 and 1981.
It used the Intel 80186 and ran CP/M-86 but was released just as DOS took over the crown from CP/M and all the cheap PC clones started coming from Asia so no great success!
I will try to get Zork and SuperStarTrek on it!
I have waited three months to share this with y’all.
In the fall of 2022, literally thousands of computers flooded eBay, with a brand name few knew, at a rock-bottom price of $59.99 plus shipping. A YouTuber did a video about them and the machines—2,200 in all—went viral.
Where did they come from? Why were there so many? I spent the last few months determining this answer. And well, it’s a story.

Some B&W photos from Helsingborg, Sweden!
The first picture is of a 19th century monument to lost seafarers with the modern skyline in the background.
The second picture is of the old keep from the 9th century, renovated in the 13th century and finished in the 19th century.
