@Gankra When the CPU's built in MOV instruction was not fast enough, I found a faster way to move bytes 😸 I was in love with Assembly Language.
Then the CPU I knew better than it knew itself (65C816) was killed off w/the Apple II's death. It was like becoming a master in some great language, then suddenly all the other speakers of that language were sucked into a pit and disappeared.
I once argued with my team against seemingly making the whole project object oriented, for it's own sake.

When no one in the media called bullshit on Bush/Cheney spewing lies about "Weapons of Mass Destruction" ad nauseam, I thought it was out of fear - fear of being called "unpatriotic" or something.
I didn't realize the media was owned by the same people who were going to become wealthier from profiting off the deaths of ~200,000 women and children - was that the case then?
