@bigzaphod Passkeys aim to replace passwords & 2FA, but most sites still allow password logins as fallback. Until you can disable passwords entirely, 2FA remains crucial for security.
@agiletortoise @simplescan Nice! I was just trying to do this with shortcuts, but couldn’t find a way. Looking forward to the update.
Thanks to everyone who gave feedback or helped in any other way (you know who you are). The design for this was done by @nicholaschristowitz (any glitches are due to my lacking HTML/CSS skills).
@DazeEnd you need to set New draft to “Never”

@atomicbird it has consistently worked for across several sites. I wonder if it matters if it’s an iCloud email address.
@tikhonov_a @9to5Mac I'm afraid I have to disagree with the analogy as PassKeys replace, not supplement passwords. https://support.apple.com/en-us/102195
About the security of passkeys - Apple Support

Passkeys are a replacement for passwords. They are faster to sign in with, easier to use, and much more secure.

@9to5Mac This is great to see, but shouldn't we have the option to disable the password once we create a passkey? It seems that leaving the option to login with a password eliminates most of the advantages of using Passkeys.

Exactly 14 years ago , Satoshi Nakamoto designed the most pathetic / inefficient system ever invented by humankind : the blockchain.

Today, it weights 60 000 tons, wastes constantly 10 gigawatts (more than Belgium or Chile) to process less than 7 transactions per second :

Less than a 33 bps modem from 1990.

This could be a joke if it didn't have such gigantic environmental impact, wasn't enabling billion dollars ransomware industry and was not crushing thousands of lives in the process.
