I'll be moderating one of the WOMADelaide Planet Talks this year!

Grace Vegesana, Claire Marshall, Richard King and I will discuss 'Brave New Futures'.

My prediction for the future? Billionaires, corporations and governments all come to their senses, we completely end fossil fuels, human rights violations and labubus, and we all live in equitable, peaceful harmony ever after... <3

Honoured, humbled and beyond excited to announce that in 2026 I will be... *drumroll please*...

...continuing to make my (sometimes feeble) attempts to make the world somewhat better or at least not worse while paying rent.

Speaking of rent, some questions for any landlords reading this, especially in light of recent extreme weather events like fire and heatwaves.

Does your own home and your rental property/ies have:

- functioning fly screens on windows and doors?
- functioning blinds or curtains on windows?
- proper installed insulation?
- energy-efficient heating and cooling?

Everyone deserves safe and healthy homes in climate crisis. ❤️

They won the court case.

1PM Sunday August 3rd
March for Humanity: Save Gaza

Meet at Lang Park to march across the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Never spoken up before? You're welcome to march with us.
Never been to a protest before? You're welcome to march with us.

The best time to speak and act will always be yesterday and the yesterday before that. Don't let that stop you from showing up now.

Bring a friend or join a community group you resonate with.

Look out for each other.

Listen to the Palestinian people at the forefront.

Don't post people's faces but do share flags, signs, crowds and the demand for an end to genocide.

While I'm glad to see some speaking out for the first time after 21 months of silence about the IDF commiting genocide against Palestinian people, that has to come with deep reflection and acknowledgement of their silence up to this point.

When we look back at genocide once it's in the history books rather than on the news we must remember not just the moment of loudness at the end but the months and years of silence, excuses and complicity that came first.

We need to learn from this and do better, not just applaud the breadcrumbs that come when bodies are too malnourished to digest them.

"We can bomb the world to pieces
But we can't bomb it into peace."

-Michael Franti

Remember this open letter from Australian journalists written November 2023 encouraging rigour, transparency and ethical reporting on Israel, Palestine and Gaza?

Read it back now and remember how much worse things have gotten and how many were disciplined for this.

To be fair to my landlord they are really responsive in getting someone in as quick as possible to PAINT OVER any mould... 🥲

I'm writing this from under a lap blanky as my landlord does not see the need for insulation, heating, cooling, fly screens or draft prevention and the next best thing? Warming yourself. Much more efficient than warming the whole house if you have to choose 😆

Rental regulations when?

When our major parties tell us who they are when it comes to addressing climate crisis or First Nations rights and heritage, we need to believe them.

Approving a 'carbon bomb' that will threaten over 50 000 year old rock art. A disgraceful use of power that could be used to make the world a BETTER place.

As Martin Luther King Jr said: “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

I will never regret times I have spoken up. If you haven't already, please find your voice.

What did you do during the genocide in Gaza?

When future generations read about Gaza with horror and wonder how we allowed a livestreamed genocide to happen, what will you say?
