See normally when an algorithm requires The Entire Global Supply Of Ram, a software engineer would consider that not a good algorithm, and would try and make a better one instead of optimising the entire planet for paperclip manufacturing.

Unfortunately we accidentally gave a bad software engineer too much money

Looks like this album isn't available for digital purchase, and physical imports are super expensive. You know what that means it's time for.

I meant the above as a joke but it did end up becoming a problem: I started having leg stiffness that’s been disrupting sleep. Coaches kept advising more and more changes to diet and exercise, and they weren’t helping.

Luckily I knew about “chasing red” from Sandi Metz, so instead I went back to a last-known-good state—objectively worse diet and exercise, but now I don’t have leg stiffness. And now I can reintroduce one change at a time and keep my wellness “green”.

I’m not saying that the coaches are wrong; and my leg stiffness may come back; and I will likely end up applying exactly the approach they said—eventually. But I *am* saying that their approach “the change caused a problem, so make MORE changes” seems ineffective, as much in health as in software.

@nygl that’s some Newton-era security right there 😄
I still remember the time I had a dream that Apple released a new touch device whose surface was a Klein-bottle-type shape and I was like "this company is drunk with power"
Because AI companies are buying up all the Jeep EU's.
You can say `/.well-known/`, but I must warn you that you may be overestimating my knowledge
Trying to get started on #LinuxMint on a 2016 Inspiron, and I figured out the performance issue I was having: Zen browser likes to keep a LOT of tabs in memory, and turns out 2016 hardware wasn't made for that 😄 - switched to Waterfox
@unseenjapan @kalleboo for me, cigarettes would be less addictive than electronics
I haven't been following #SkinnyPuppy closely, and just discovered they released an album I didn't know about because it isn't on Spotify (HanDover). Listening to it now on YouTube, and let me tell you, hearing YouTube ads pop up in between Skinny Puppy tracks is *particularly* dystopian.
