a witch's labour
stirring the pot of poison
inhaling fetid brew
I would worry about second-hand effects from the fumes. How many times has she fallen helplessly in love? How many times recovered from illnesses she never had, or succumbed to a near deathly scourge? How many spell interactions not listed in the grimoire? Risky business.
