Hey all! It’s birthday fundraiser time again and to celebrate my 55th I’m returning to the original cause and crowdfunding resources for the unhoused in my community. But wait! Toy lady has upstaged him by shipping in a bunch of way cool toys from her own company! And she’s there! Surprise! Amazingly, she is insisting that he come back to Chicago with her, to work in an industry that he walked away from because it was so hideously toxic. Yay?

She opens the gift in the taxi—it is a little pillow embroidered with “may the spirit of Christmas live in your heart all year long”, encircled by a silver bracelet.

Innkeeper sis is now encouraging AC to intercept her at the airport, because she can “see what’s in people’s hearts”. Alas, he is too late. He must instead return to town, dress as Santa, and give his stupid but popular wooden toys away.
