I have friends everwhere.
The European orchard bee (Osmia cornuta) is one of the earlier bees in the year. Their humming is one of the many signs that #spring is here.
This pair really likes our bee hotel. Listen to the sound the male is doing. The act took like forever. Respect little fellow.
The bees live solitary in tubes like Bambus or drillled holes and they don’t sting. These wild bees are more efficient than honey #bees in pollinating fruit trees. So there is no reason to not have them in your #garden.
Quite bee-sy here in our #garden. #bees #spring

comment from bunjywunjy on tumblr:
this is actually HILARIOUS because both domestic rabbits and domestic cats practice dominance-related social grooming but for wildly different reasons.

if you're a rabbit, the boss rabbit is the one who gets groomed by its subordinate rabbits.

but if you're a cat... the boss cat is the one that grooms the other cats.

BOTH these idiots are going "aw yeah, it's good to be on top >:)" #cute #bunny #cats

Many of you might have already seen the ultra cute "sea sheep" (Costasiella kuroshimae), but yesterday I learned 2 mind-blowing facts about the family of sea slugs they belong to:

1. They incorporate chloroplasts (the organelles in plant cells that do the actual photosynthesis) of plants they eat, into their own bodies to do photosynthesis directly for them (that is the green colour you see), in order to survive if food is scarce.

Imagine being able to live from light!
