That awkward moment when your old friend mentions you during his talk at @pyberlin ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

That awkward moment that you go donate blood but your iron level is too low ๐Ÿซ

Go donate, people! Save lives!

It's @pyberlin's 50th meetup! ๐Ÿฅณ
I'm #openforwork btw!
The cancellation of #MuseumSunday reminds me that I really want to get a German passport and the right to vote, especially at State level.
The issue is having other priorities, like finding a job ๐Ÿซ
At @berlin_pyladies to learn about data engineering and DLT ๐Ÿš€
At #StormReply for an #AWSUgBerlin workshop on #AWSSageMaker ๐Ÿš€
This time the #Flixtrain train is on time (for now) but it looks like someone couldn't get to the toilet on time?!?
Luckily there were some seats "reserved for bags" (so probably also dirty but not visibly at least). I managed to ask to be moved to, because apparently they can't check what seats are available until Berlin ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ
Trying #Flixtrain for the first time today and it's 30' "delayed due to delays in operations" ... so just... delayed without a good reason?

Love a #data-driven response to breathless & baseless opinions on #RemoteWork & #WfH, esp. re: #productivity. IMO #RTO is mainly to protect bad #leadership & their poor real estate decisions.

One Company A/B Tested Hybrid Work. Hereโ€™s What They Found.

Since the pandemic, executives have had to rethink their work-from-home policies to better support their companiesโ€™ bottom line. Recent research conducted in a real company showed that employees who worked from home three days a week experienced higher satisfaction and lower attrition rates compared with their colleagues who worked from the office. This reduction in turnover saved millions of dollars in recruiting and training costs, thereby increasing profits for the company. Business leaders can learn valuable lessons from this study to implement a successful hybrid work model: establishing rigorous performance management systems, coordinating team or company-level hybrid schedules, and securing support from firm leadership. Additionally, executives should A/B test their own management practices to find what works best for them.
