New replacement chickies. A Rhode Island Red, a Buff Orpington, a Gold Wyandotte, and a Black Star. They will live in a pen in the garage while we build a replacement fox-impervious chicken coop.

Just when you think you know the neighborhood, along comes a Wrinkled Ironclad Beetle to blow your mind. These can live to be 8 years old. They eat rotting wood and fungus. (Phloeodes diabolicus)
An Anise Swallowtail came to visit. Managed to catch a snapshot of it before it moved on. #Butterflies
