At my requested hospital meeting, I asked to offer some criticism regarding my cardiac arrest and subsequent ICD surgery last month.
I pointed out that while they saved my life for which I am beyond grateful, not once, unless basically begged for by me, did anyone offer any guidance on what to expect or do going forward from that moment.
Answers were vague at best.
Considering the difficulty to advocate for ourselves while still impacted by extreme trauma, we shouldn't have to.
