The terrible events of the last 48 hours have made it clear how important social media is during fast-moving historical events.

Sadly, the destruction of the teams Twitter put in place to fight organized manipulation makes it harder for individuals to speak to a global audience as their message gets buried by troll farms, state propaganda organs and grifters.

Twitter was good at providing one of the most useful things on the internet: surfacing interesting stuff elsewhere. But Musk doesn't get the internet or why that's useful.

I wish that someone with a really compelling voice would read the indictment aloud to be made available as a podcast, on YouTube, on Audible for free and through libraries. It's so clear and pulls all the pieces of the conspiracy together. Everyone needs to know what it says.

Just over 3 years ago, I moved to a farm where I can see the Milky Way from my back door. Despite being an astronomer, I've never had that kind of personal access to a dark sky before, and it totally changed my relationship with the sky.

I have always loved looking at the stars, but now I also feel a shared ownership of this natural resource with all of humanity, past, present, and future. This is my sky! Our sky! Our human history!
