Just coming out of 3 hrs kick-off for our field trip to Vienna. Large group of totally enthusiastic students. Surprisingly smooth process of forming groups mostly around common interests. Very promising for the student organised sessions. @JohannesSuitner @FSielker @WiGeoKiel

Happy to say I just submitted my first major research proposal. 🤓 Now it is all down to the gods of research. 😇Could not have done this without the continuous support and friendly nudges by @hansen_teis who patiently answered each and every question.

One minute you hold an empowerment speach to students about speaking up loudly and taking space, the next you cannot come up with a nice Austrian derogative for the short-trousered guy telling you off for (accidentally, sorry) crossing at a red light and calling you "Mädchen"...

This week I take more than thirty students around Kiel to learn to see the economic geography around them. Despite the typical Schietwetter in full force today students were committed and enthusiastic, engaged and interested. Even some random ppl stopped to listen in. @kieluni :)
