Tonight’s first spin chosen indirectly by @scotspostpunk: U2 live at the Marquee 1980. This string of weekly gigs was the stuff of legends - from a handful of folks to sellouts with crowds outside in the street in only 4 or 5 weeks. SPP and I were each able to catch one of these and - whatever your opinion of U2 today is - they were objectively shit hot then.
Originally a fan club release, this was repressed as a 2 x 10” LP in 2015.
