@BeebsyMcA I was working as an editorial assistant in NY book publishing. My editor asked me to go to Amazon.com, since they aggregated book reviews and she wanted to see the reviews of a Siri Hustvedt book. The page loaded so slowly that I gave up, ran to the library, printed some reviews from newspapers on microfilm, AND checked out a copy of the book. (The page still hadn’t loaded by the time I got back.) I told everyone. “No worries—we have nothing to fear from Amazon!”
