@gwynnion I can actually explain this pretty well, because I've spent my entire life in the most conservative county in California, where we have tons of Republicans but also a not small amount of leftists.
Basically, they know their audience. If they don't know whether they're among "like minded people", they just avoid speaking their mind. They long for the day they don't have to "self-censor", not realizing that that day probably will never come because everyone would find it reprehensible
@[email protected] They just want to kick the can down the road in the hopes that someone will come up with some brilliant invention that fixes it. Meanwhile, a lot of them are also buying up weapons and building bunkers in the event that inevitably doesn't happen and they have to fight off the hordes of people they fucked over.
The more I learn about the Evangelical Movement, the more I realize it was created by people who genuinely wanted to be comic book supervillains. It’s leadership has always been the most despicable people who have only ever wanted a justification to be as brutally cruel as possible to as many people as they could.

@mekkaokereke I've been saying for years that Trump pretty much managed to disprove every single major conspiracy theory because he seriously cannot keep his mouth shut. If there were a group that was secretly running things, regardless of their specific politics, they would have had him assassinated ASAP.
