Ik kom net uit de onderhandelingen voor de nieuwe AI-wet en het is officieel: we hebben een akkoord om deze krengen definitief van de markt te weren.

Ik ben ontzettend blij met deze overwinning. De hoeveelheid gortige content liep echt de spuigaten uit. Een seksueel misdrijf plegen was letterlijk maar twee muisklikken weg... en dat kán gewoon niet.

Anderhalve week geleden verliep de termijn waarbinnen de minister van Economische Zaken en Klimaat (EZK) was verzocht te reageren op de brief van advocaten Roland Mans en Matthijs Kaaks inzake de geplande verkoop van DigiD-leverancier Solvinity aan het Amerikaanse techbedrijf Kyndryl. Het Bureau Toetsing Investeringen (BTI), onderdeel van EZK, kreeg vier weken de tijd, maar een antwoord bleef uit. Dat leidde vorige week tot de volgende juridische stap: de minister in gebreke stellen. Dit keer liet het BTI de volgende dag al iets van zich horen.

It's the same story all over the world. Waste is what is wasting our environment. We are approaching a point where we are causing a Mt Everest of waste every single year. Water, soil, air, oceans are collapsing because of how we consume.

We don't have an energy production problem.

We have an energy and materials consumption crisis.

Rather than empowering users to access the services they need in a secure and safe way, the #eIDWallet risks becoming a tool of surveillance and control.

EDRi, @epicenter_works and other digital rights and consumer protection organisations across Europe wrote to the @EUCommission Commission to urge them to amend their plan and ensure that the rights of users are properly safeguarded.
