The @Redshirt27 identity is my writing persona in the ST:TNG universe.
I have two novels so far, neither of which has yet been edited since the raw toots were posted. They need lots of minor clean-up, but the basic plots are intact.
The first is "Alone", and its toots are here: https://gist.githubusercontent.com/FlyMyPG/442ff28a318d7761065a684e13835c41/raw/4a378a57ef53b0e1006f15a54d300261c6c4ab70/Redshirt27%2520Book%25201%2520-%2520Alone.txt
The second is "Reconstruction", and its toots are here: https://gist.githubusercontent.com/FlyMyPG/e146ba1100c18172a35b80ec4aea2911/raw/d3944f599557450b246216230a63c9e3d2e98e4b/Redshirt27%2520Book%25202%2520-%2520Reconstruction.txt
Enjoy!

I'm giving an #Ignite talk in San Diego on October 5, 2017, about the fanfic novels I wrote using #Mastodon in the character of my @Redshirt27 persona.
I've been a slacker Tooter, and must make amends. I presently feel like sharing on these topics. Which first?
⏺️ Hints for beginner triathletes.
⏺️ Hints for broken triathletes.
⏺️ How to persevere through adversity.
Or I can try to expound on a topic of your choice. Challenge me!
@Redshirt27 Posted Book 2, which like the Book 1, is composed of collected toots.
They are based in the ST:TNG universe, but only in general context, not in main characters or plot lines.
Book 1 is a mystery where a green redshirt tries, and fails, to report for duty aboard the USS Enterprise.
Book 2 describes our redshirt's epic journey to recover from the aftermath of Book 1.
Both books are UNEDITED, with all the errors inherent in tooting an unplanned book.
Who am I kidding? I'm not going to edit these logs!
Here are the raw log dumps. Have at them.
The original kidnap log:
The new reconstruction log:
I tooted another book in the ST:TNG universe using my @Redshirt27 persona.
Here are the posts in chronological order:
Here's a blog post I wrote after the first book, providing some history and context:

Have I said how much I love #Mastodon (and #GnuSocial)?
I checked it out because some blogger said we all should.
Then I visited several themed instances. I soon found TenForward.social and created my @Redshirt27 persona, then wrote some toots as if I had just beamed aboard the Enterprise.
What started as themed posting soon turned into a story told via entries in a Redshirt's personal log.
I have never before felt such creative freedom in such a safe zone.
It changed me.
