@ZackPolanski Seems he is currently waging a "holy war" on Iran driven by his Christian (sic) Nationalist backers. Hegseth openly talks about a Christian crusade.
@jayflo Sent you a request, we met today at the Green Party meeting.

The Brexit booby prize.
@WillBlackWriter Also need to make sure a future Lab government commits to it. Last Lab gov advanced privatisation and Wes Streeting sounds keen to take it further.

So, yesterday we were subjected to Jonathan Gullis demanding to legislate to leave the ECHR in order to brazenly breach people’s human rights, deport them to Rwanda and max out on cruelty. He has the backing of Johnson and Patel and others in this nasty, thuggish plan.

This Tory party has become something revolting. Knotted up with hatred and prejudice. Looking to scapegoat others for its own grim failure.

Greedy, callous people doing unforgivable things for power.

An eye-opening piece from @[email protected] that documents horrific stories from the for-profit hospice industry in the US. A cautionary tale for Canada that speaks to the consequences of making profits the top priority, rather than patient care #cdnhealth

Good person centred plans can make community connections. Unfortunately, despite a lot of effort to change practice, such plans are few and far between.
Boris Johnson has made a million on the speaking circuit, while being paid as an MP.
If you think he should pay for his own legal defence for his unacceptable behaviour, sign this petition.

The public should not have to pay for Boris Johnson's legal fees

While people up and down the country followed the rules, made sacrifices and lost loved ones Boris Johnson held parties - and then lied about it. I don't want a penny of the tax I pay on my NHS wage to be spent defending a wealthy former Prime Minister who broke Covid lockdown rules while my colleagues were risking their lives. And right now so many Brits can't afford to eat or heat their homes, they do not need another expense. Most of us were brought up to believe that when we were found...

@goodlawproject Happy with 1st and 2nd alternative, but I don't want a Turkey for my vegetarian household.
