A designer by training, she delved into the world of typography out of passion. With 20 years of experience in design and typography, she has become a national and international reference in her field. Based in Curitiba, her studio works with clients around the world and is powered by a talented team of collaborators.

Announcing our first keynote speaker for #TypeCon2025! Kate Bingaman-Burt is a designer, illustrator, and educator based in Portland, Oregon. As a professor and the head of the Graphic Design program at Portland State University since 2008, Kate has dedicated her career to teaching and mentoring the next generation of designers. In 2017, Kate founded Outlet, a community-driven print space in Portland.
