SUSE has gone through more than its fair share of corporate restructuring, and here comes another one. https://opensourcewatch.beehiiv.com/p/suse-go-private by @sjvn
Well, I didn't see this coming—shame on me. SUSE, one of the oldest #Linux companies, is being taken private by its majority stockholder.
Let's talk about #Mercedes vehicles equipped with #DrivePilot a bit - a Level 3-capable vehicle that has been recently "approved" in a handful of US states.
This article almost entirely focuses on the legal dynamics of consumer liability should this vehicle create a direct (or, presumably, an indirect) incident.

A child predator who propositioned children online
a person who bragged about killing a black homeless man

Daniel ran a red light and drove his vehicle into a crowd
He was just sentenced to 25 years in prison.
*This* is the man Greg Abbott wants to pardon. Think about that.
"Officer-involved shooting" is a euphemism for "officer shot someone" -- and it's used, by police and journalist, to make reality fuzzy.
