She optimized her website for local keywords, asked her customers to leave reviews, and started posting on social media every day. She even claimed her business on Google My Business and listed it on several local directories.
For example, optimizing her website for local keywords was important, but stuffing it with irrelevant keywords was actually harmful to her search engine rankings. And while getting reviews was important, asking for fake or generic reviews could actually hurt her business.
The expert also explained that Google My Business and local directories were useful tools, but they were not the only factor in local SEO.
She learned that she needed to optimize her website for local keywords, get as many reviews as possible, and post regularly on social media. She also heard that she needed to claim her business on Google My Business and make sure her business was listed on local directories.
