Immigration blues.
Recently I decided to move to Australia. I took my life savings, and now I'm in a Hostel, beating the streets, looking for a job. Dear God, give me a job. I'm grateful for the beautiful sunny weather, I'm grateful that I can do this. But I miss my motorcycle so much, I miss my family, and I worry so much that this won't work.
Today I take my CV to the motorcycle dealerships. Because why not.
"I would like to remind you of an essential truth: the #food #sovereignty of #Indigenous peoples is intimately linked to the #health of our territories, the protection of ecosystems and the survival of the species that live there. For us, this sovereignty is based on an age-old balance with our #environment.”

It’s #roadtrip day! 300 miles planned. Renton - I-90 up and over the big hill and cross the big river. After that it’s wide open. I was thinking of taking SR-28 through the top end of Grant County through the dusty towns but that depends on what time I get out of here.
It’s weird how I don’t mind interstate riding east of the Cascades.
Lots of pictures for myself and lots of time to think about this last year, how I am ready to move in to my next phase of life.
My whole life I dreamed of being able to ride. Not city riding but riding to see everything.
Riding solo is something I dig, it’s not for everyone, especially in the American West but for me, it’s a challenge, a challenge of personal fortitude, a desire to see things people dream of seeing, and meeting “well known strangers” in small towns.
I hope you find joy in your journey, I hope you find your feet and adventure our world, it’s way better than the news.
Keep the rubber side up, keep an eye out for bikes, and keep cool.

During the 2025 election campaign, prime minister Mark Carney made a striking admission about Canada’s dependence on U.S. tech companies. The Canadian government was in the process of choosing a partner for a 25-year cloud computing contract for the federal government. The contract’s length should have set off red flags of its own, but the…
