@EyalL They try to stay below the outrage threshhold of a majority of global consumers of popular media, which killing 100,000 a day wouldn't achieve. They've claimed for years that Hamas is always mysteriously hiding in hospitals, schools, residential areas and sites supporting critical infrastructure. It's all lies. They even destroyed an office block housing the Al Jazeera and BBC offices. How was that "targeting Hamas"? The Israeli government wants to keep slowly expanding their illegal settlements until there's nothing of Palestine left.

@vonneudeck Right backatcha. There are so many anti-Palestinian tropes in your comment. The revengeful bloodthirsty Arab, the perpetrator of the evil in the world, the idea that it is up to the Palestians to turn the other cheek…

Just to name a few. This isn’t some decent or deserved criticism it is just someone who felt very free to live out their anti-Arab sentiment and an audience that feels happy finally someone is saying what they are feeling.

It’s a shame and terrifying to see.

Just to name a few. This isn’t some decent or deserved criticism it is just someone who felt very free to live out their anti-Arab sentiment and an audience that feels happy finally someone is saying what they are feeling.

@scottrichmond "The Palestinians" were responsible for an "invasion" of Israel in roughly the same sense as "the Muslims" were responsible for an "invasion" of the United States on September 11th, 2001. The four million innocent civilians killed, maimed or displaced in the Middle East by a US-led coalition of Western governments in the ensuing (and largely bogus) "War on Terror", did not deserve to be bombed back to the Stone Age. Many of them were also victims of Wahabi-Salafist brutality.

If you're looking for people to blame, advocate for finding the actual perpetrators and their enablers, and bringing them to justice. Otherwise you're no better than the terrorists, simply exploiting cultural and ethnic divisions for your own ideological or political gain.

My country has been subject to a decades-long terrorist bombing campaign by the Irish Republican Army (IRA). While it's true that the British security forces in Northern Ireland, in collusion with the loyalist paramilitaries, murdered hundreds of Republicans, we haven't yet sent war planes into Ireland to flatten Belfast or Dublin - and "the English" don't blame "the Irish" for the actions of a small group of extremists.
