@wmj1102 Wonder how much input this guy has actually had from other blind people. Dude sounds super smart and super techie and possibly super aspie and may think that, just because he can use it means that everyone else automatically can. 🤔 #NFB25
@wmj1102 I’d say there has to be a better (i.e., simpler) way to implement this concept… #NFB25
@wmj1102 Sounds like you would need a ton of training to even begin to use this and ultimately about as much as you would to get 100% proficient at it as you would to get proficient at JAWS 100%. #NFB25
So, yeah, so far, this new map thing sounds good in theory but way too complicated in implementation… #NFB25

Shout-out to my in-person Hoosier Federationists who went through the same fire alarm deal at our state convention just last year! Gremlin travel with y’all? 😅 #NFB25
@dhamlinmusic So, why didn’t NLS representatives simply come out and say this? Surely they know we are all most concerned about it. #NFB25
So one thing I disturbingly did not hear during the NLS presentation is assurance that its funding is secure… And that’s the one thing I was hoping to hear. I mean, they mentioned NEWSLINE, but I’ve always thought most of us have moved on from that given the greater proliferation of other accessible news sources, though I suppose its specialized content is a thing as well as its benefit for seniors and some low income folks. #NFB25
