So one thing I disturbingly did not hear during the NLS presentation is assurance that its funding is secure… And that’s the one thing I was hoping to hear. I mean, they mentioned NEWSLINE, but I’ve always thought most of us have moved on from that given the greater proliferation of other accessible news sources, though I suppose its specialized content is a thing as well as its benefit for seniors and some low income folks. #NFB25

So, was assured that, if I were to attend NFB convention in-person ever for the first time, I could be provided a fellow Covid-vulnerable mentor to help me navigate it as safely as possible. Since pretty much every year someone in my affiliate comes back with it, this provision was to be a “red line” for me. If this can happen, then, it looks like I might be going someday. With that in mind, I have just entered into the Give 25 campaign to win a trip there! #nfb25 (1/2)

Today we kicked off the first day of #NFB25 National Convention in New Orleans! You can still register for the virtual experience if you haven't already done so. We welcome all in-person attendees who are new to our National Convention to join us for Rookie Roundup tonight from 8:00-9:30 p.m. CT to hear from President Riccobono, former rookies, and other Federation leaders. We also invite blind students to network with our national student division from 8:30-10:30 p.m. CT.
