Should I switch instances? I like the idea of decentralisation that the Fediverse brings.

But it's almost as if there's this crippling amount of choice about which instance to choose. Kind of like choosing which subculture you wanted to identify with at high school.

(Spoiler, I couldn't really identify properly with any of them, so I always ended up floating in limbo. Thankfully, with an amazing group of non-pigeonholeable friends as well.)

Not a comfortable read. But an essential one for all of us - like me - who have recently left the dead bird site and are now to all extents and purposes squatting in someone else's house.

Ik lees dat het met de huidige kosten niet meer loont om op platvis te vissen in de Noordzee.

Elke dag moet er weer een pluimveebedrijf geruimd worden vanwege vogelgriep.

De provincie Overijssel moet inmiddels van de rechter gaan handhaven op stikstof (an sich een absurde zin, sta er even bij stil).

Langzamerhand begint die transitie er toch wel te komen. Maar zo laat en met zoveel tegenzin.

Dit hadden we zo veel makkelijker zelf kunnen doen, dertig jaar terug.
