I just yelled “You can f$cking fly, you know!!” at a goose crossing the road. So yeah, I’m doing great.

I can cross “Interviewed About Ghosts as a Cultural Phenomenon” off my list. Article includes spookily blurred portrait of me.

Ghost stories: Why tales of the undead still mean so much (even if you don’t believe in ghosts)

Ghost stories aren't just cheap thrills. Spirits take many forms and can give us everything from comfort to terror, anthropologists say.

Do… do I teach about this in the class about gender? Ecology? Colonial culture? Kinship? Late-stage industrial capitalism? The Anthropocene? Symbolism? Ritual?

*anthropologist head explodes*

Hey there #anthro, #medicalanthropology and #publichealth folks! I’m trying to create an in-class JEOPARDY-style #covid trivia game to kick off medical anthropology. Do you know of anyone who has done this before? Or any good sources for up to date #COVID19 trivia? I’m drowning in studies and news articles and trying to pull it all together is a slog.

Hello! I am a teaching professor in #anthropology disassembling everything students thought they knew about law, medicine, religion, gender, and race. Currently studying #romance, gender, and culture as an excuse to meet authors and read enormous numbers of #urbanfantasy and #paranormalromance books. Author of way too many unfinished articles and at least one unpublished novel. Owner of a lot of student debt. May have been a lawyer at one point, but not sure.
