Hi new friends! I figure now is as good a time as any for some #introductions, as I'm a #Twitter convert. My name is Andrew and I'm a 26 y/o grad student living in Atlanta, GA. I graduated in May '22 with my Master in #SocialWork and I'll graduate with my #MDiv in May '23! Four years of #academia has certainly worn me down, I'm ready to be DONE.

Something that has bothered me for a while... A lot of people use LinkTree for creating a profile with all their #socialmedia #links... The problem is #LinkTree is a data harvesting / tracker site.
Thankfully @eposvox pointed out another service to me (via his profile) today: https://bio.link/ - it's a free to use alternative, that doesn't track personal info beyond click throughs (no IP, no cookie, etc.)
It's from the Buy-Me-A-Coffee folks and looks really really good.
As much as we all hate "the algorithm," it sure was excellent at sorting through all of the bullshit online and giving us exactly what we wanted to see (for better or for worse). 🤷🏻♂️
Initial turnoff from Mastodon is the sense of being overwhelmed by the lack of boundaries or guidance. Any suggestions for curating content?
