Fake CBC ads have flooded X with sketchy headlines. We looked for the source | CBC News

X users have been subjected to a flood of ads that feature fake CBC headlines, leading to fake CBC-style articles. In the end, it’s part of an international investment scheme.

@noodlejetski @rysiek Just browsed through this guide yesterday and it seemed thorough and well-written.

My minor nitpicks since I think it's a great guide overall:
- I didn't like every recommendation either
- Someone with more Android/iOS experience could provide better ideas regarding phones
- Could be quite long winded at times when you want to jump to the actual steps they recommend

Colleen was one of my favorite people in the San Diego indie hackers meetup!

Not that we need more examples of Elon being a lying piece of shit, but just a nice textbook case, with the image flipped as well. And of course no Community Notes on those tweets. (Both of these accounts are right-wing hate-bait accounts he retweets all the time and may well control directly.)

I know I'm a broken record, but I'll say it again: civil society must get off X.
